Here is a list of general questions which people ask us most frequently at our Dublin Orthodontist clinic. If you have a query that isn’t answered here, just contact us and we’ll do our best to answer your query.
Where is your clinic?
We are located in the heart of Drumcondra, Dublin 9, just 2 miles from Dublin City Centre. Check the Google map on this page for details on how to reach us.
When are you open?
We are open Mon-Fri from 9am-5pm; we also have early morning and late evening appointments available. Just ask our receptionist when you call us on 8340577.
Are you taking on new patients?
We are delighted to see new patients at our clinic. Most patients come to us through ‘Word of Mouth’ so if you have been referred by one of our patients please tell us so we can thank them!
What will happen at my first appointment?
After taking your details at reception, your first appointment will be with Dr. Declan Ward who will carry out a full assessment of your teeth and gums. Part of this assessment will involve taking photographs and a detailed examination of the patient’s occlusion (bite).
Once complete, Dr. Ward will discuss what treatment options will best suit your needs.
Declan and his staff at Glasnevin Orthodontics will be happy to answer any questions you might have regarding tailoring your plan to your needs.
Finally, with your permission we may contact your dentist outlining the findings of the appointment and treatment options discussed.
Can patients with Medical Cards have orthodontic treatment carried out at Glasnevin Orthodontics?
No. Medical Card holders currently receive all dental and orthodontic treatment through their local HSE clinic.
Can I claim tax relief on my orthodontic treatment?
Yes. Orthodontic treatment qualifies for tax relief. At the end of, or during treatment we will provide and help complete a Med 2 form for you and you can use this to claim your tax relief. At present you can claim back 20 % of the cost for your Orthodontic treatment.
Is there parking at the clinic?
There is plenty of on-street parking available right beside the clinic on the Drumcondra Road and in the surrounding area.
